Proof of on-time submission
The cryptographic timestamp is embedded in the .uds. Funders cannot dispute submission time, and you have proof if there's a server failure.
Application text sealed
The SHA-256 of your application text proves what was submitted. No "the portal changed my formatting" disputes.
Supporting documents bundled
One .udz contains the application and all supporting materials with hashes proving none were added after submission.
