How UD Claims Package differs from email submission and insurer portals

Claims submitted by email have no chain of custody. Insurer portals accept uploads but don't give you a verifiable record of what you submitted and when. UD Claims Package does both.

Email claim submission
Common but fragile. No structured bundle, no chain of custody, no proof of what was submitted and when. In a disputed claim, the claimant has no independent tamper-evident record of the original submission.
Insurer claims portal upload
Documents uploaded to a portal are in the insurer's system — not yours. If the portal is unavailable or the claim is disputed after system changes, you may not be able to retrieve your original submission.
UD Claims Package — structured bundle with incident record
Claim form, incident report, and evidence are bundled into a single .udz with structured incident metadata — date, location, description, witnesses — readable by claims management systems.
UD Claims Package — submission timestamp in chain of custody
The bundle is sealed at submission time with a hash. In a disputed claim timeline, the sealed package provides independent proof of what was submitted and when, regardless of what the insurer's system shows.
